A Sophisticated Scam That almost Looks Legitimate (2007)
Today I received this email offering me a job. Little work 2-3 hours per day, excellent reward 1000-2000 EUR per month. Here's it as an image.
Here's the text. Better than usual English though with some daft stuff- what is an "Assured Reason"? The REGISTER HERE site I've removed. It's dead anyway, and thius is just 3 days after the email was sent.
So how did I know it's a scam? Because it is just too good to be true. I think it's a variant of the old money laundering trick. People get sent cheques to pay into their account and then pay the money on, minus the fee. Of course where the original money came from is another question and not one you can answer easily when the Police come knocking. If you get these emails just delete them pronto. If you don't you'll most likely end up in jail and/or out of pocket as an associate and/or accomplice to money laundering.
